Female Embryos

Most of the time females produce only other females by parthnogenesis. These are called amictic females. But when certain conditions are encountered these amictic females will produce mictic females. These mictic females will produce mictic eggs which are haploid (product of meiosis). If these eggs are fertilized, they will become resting eggs. If unfertilized, they will develop into males which are haploid.
